Last night we camped in Brookings, SD at Sexauer Park .. We had a nice little campfire and a couple of beers by a creek.. there were two other bikers camping last night from Ontario, en route to Devil's Tower. We just ran into them about fifteen minutes ago at a gas station in Pierre.
The stars last night were so beautiful and bright so incredibly clear the big dipper was so low it seemed as if we could climb a tree and touch one..
We left camp at nine am.. Stopped to eat lunch a hundred miles later in Huron. The drive today has been rough, the winds are very high and it has been flat flat prairie land until we got to Pierre 250 miles or so later now its gorgeous lush hills and valleys.. although on the prairie it was incredible to see a hundred or more miles of uncountable sunflowers.
We took photos today and they will be uploaded soon, right after I figure out a way to efficiently do so from my phone.. which by the way is very disappointing for documenting this trip it cant seem to stay on or keep charge and the signal is pretty weak pretty much everywhere in this
state. We are having coffee now downtown in Pierre which is a small but quaint capital city.
I am going to hop off the phone and pass to Joey so he can recap his first five days...
